Visitors are always welcome.

DNA The Final Frontier in Genealogy

Our meetings are a friendly gathering of members for the purpose of gaining knowledge in genealogical computing. They commence with a Question and Answer session to air one's problems with their family searching and to collectively advise on possible solutions. Following this we intend having a demonstration and discussion on a previously selected topic, typically a family history program or navigating available CD indexes. As time permits we may then have hands on experience at exploring web sites of genealogical interest. On occasions, and depending on availability, we intend having invited demonstrators with experience in a range of genealogical topics accessible by computer. Group Leader: John Shortland

What is My Family Tree?

My Family Tree is a free genealogy application for Windows®. It has been carefully designed to help you quickly create your family tree using a simple and intuitive interface.

For those just starting out investigating their family history, it provides an easy way to visualise and share your family tree with photos, stories and basic facts about each person. More experienced genealogists will find full support for citations and evidence and options to transfer data using the GEDCOM file format.
